A LOve LEtter to January

Founder Notes:

A heartfelt letter to January, our beloved namesake.

Before January 11th slips away, I wanted to take a moment to embody today.

This letter arrived intentionally, not late, because some things require writing when the body is ready, not the calendar. And how could I skip the day that holds the essence of our name?

January 11th has always held a special place in my heart.

When I think about manifestation and intentionally planning a life that feels aligned, I shift my focus away from wishing and towards creating a state. It’s about the energy we infuse into our creations, the way our hands move when our nervous system feels safe, and the thoughts we choose when no one is watching.

Palace One Eleven emerged during a transformative season in my life—a time of shedding, questioning, and becoming. Yet, its foundation was never built on fear, but on love.

It was built on curiosity and a deep, silent care for what I was creating and the reasons behind it.

Long before Palace had a name, the number 111 kept finding me.

It wasn’t a loud or dramatic occurrence, but a consistent presence. Through personal lessons, introspection, and growth, it appeared repeatedly, like a gentle nudge urging me to trust the unfolding process. For those of you who are new here and haven’t heard the story, I’ll keep it simple. My last corporate beauty position ended on January 11th, marking the culmination of another bulk of shifts. At the time, I was uncertain about my next move. I only knew that something had closed, and something else was about to begin.

I didn’t yet comprehend how the rest of the name would materialize, but I knew January held significance. I knew Eleven held importance. I knew that together, they held weight. January, the beginning, and eleven, the reminder to align.

A year and a few months later, on July 7, 2020, Palace One Eleven quietly opened its doors online.

Since then, this work has taught me how to create intentionally, even amidst life’s chaos. When I’m making pieces or products, I’m mindful of what I bring into them. I consciously avoid creating from frustration, opting instead for presence. Everything I create emanates from a calm, loving, almost meditative place. Because energy always transfers.

There’s a strange and beautiful truth about working in healing spaces. While you’re holding others, you’re often healing yourself right alongside them.

Palace One Eleven has been my full-time work for years now, and it’s gently woven together every aspect of my life that once felt disconnected. Every skill I learned, every experience I questioned, every season I thought was wasted—nothing was wasted. It was all preparation.

This work is the culmination of years of love, knowledge, and lived experience. It’s a place where all of my strengths are allowed to thrive under one roof. While we continue to grow at our own pace, what you receive here is layered, thoughtful, and deeply cared for.

Thank you, January, for holding such a powerful heartbeat in a season that often feels bare. You remind us that beginnings don’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes, they arrive as a number, a feeling, or a quiet knowing that says this is only the start.

And when the light returns, so do we.

Overall Energy:

January is a quiet power of alignment. It’s not a month that demands rush or demands instant transformation. Instead, it invites honesty. It asks us to notice where our energy is actually flowing and whether it aligns with the life we’re building.

This month holds the essence of 111 and 1111—beginning, alignment, and intentional movement forward. It’s a reminder that what we choose now sets the tone for what unfolds later. January doesn’t need grand gestures. It responds best to clarity, consistency, and care.

There’s a gentleness, a spaciousness, and a permission to move slowly while staying deeply intentional here. This month is the perfect time to listen closely, refine your focus, and trust that what’s meant for you doesn’t require force.

MIND & BODY:

January invites us to return to our foundation.

Support your body through simplicity. Prioritize rest, hydration, and nourishment that feels grounding rather than stimulating. Warm meals, steady routines, and moments of stillness help regulate your system after the intensity of the year behind us.

For the mind, this is a month of clearing mental clutter. Not through pressure or perfection, but through awareness. Notice which thoughts feel aligned and which ones feel inherited, outdated, or rooted in fear. Create space for practices that calm the nervous system, such as gentle movement, intentional breathing, or quiet mornings without rushing.

This is also a beautiful time to work with grounding stones and tools that support clarity and presence. Pieces that feel steady in the hand, objects that remind you to slow down and come back to yourself.

Your body already knows the rhythm.

January simply asks you to honor it.

Journal Prompts

Use these prompts as gentle check-ins throughout the month. There’s no need to answer them all at once. Let them meet you where you are.

• What does alignment feel like in my body when I’m truly in it?

• Where in my life am I being asked to begin again with more intention?

• What energy am I bringing into the things I’m creating right now?

• What habits or patterns no longer feel aligned with who I’m becoming?

• How can I create from a place of calm rather than urgency?

• What does my version of a grounded, supported January look like?

• Where can I trust myself more instead of rushing for answers?

Let January be a month of quiet confidence. A month where you choose alignment over urgency and intention over noise. Everything doesn’t need to be figured out right now. It simply needs to be met with care.
