The J Stands for Joy: A Love Letter to June.
Founder's Notes
Sometimes I wish I could hug June with all my might.
There is something so enchanting about this month. Maybe it's the longer days, the warmth settling in, or the feeling that life is finally stepping outside after spending months indoors. Whatever it is, June arrives with a reminder many of us forget:
Joy does not need justification.
You don't have to earn it. You don't have to explain it. And you certainly don't have to wait until everything is perfect to experience it.
Joy is your birthright.
After the honesty April demanded and the care May encouraged, June feels like permission to enjoy what you've been building. Let June remind you there are free vitamins outside. Soak up the sun. Sit in the grass. Open the windows. Take the longer route home. Stay at dinner a little longer than planned.
While Cancer begins to make its entrance toward the end of the month, Gemini season is still very much alive, and with it comes a spark that is impossible to ignore. Ideas feel abundant. Conversations feel meaningful.
You may find yourself revisiting projects you've quietly researched, studied, and carried close to your heart. The difference now is that the blueprint exists. What once felt like planning starts feeling like play.
There is a lightness available this month.
The J in June stands for Joy.
A beautiful season for connection, family, friendships, and saying yes to the invite. Add more color to your wardrobe. Wear the earrings. Order the dessert. Take the picture.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is enjoy your life while you're living it.
This is one of my favorite months to write ideas down. Inspiration seems to arrive from everywhere. A conversation. A walk. A text message. A song playing at exactly the right moment.
Pay attention.
There is information hidden in the ordinary this month.
And while June celebrates graduations, weddings, Father's Day, Pride, vacations, and the unofficial start of summer, we also honor Juneteenth, a day that reminds us freedom is worth celebrating, protecting, and remembering.
A reminder that joy itself
can be an act of remembrance.
A reminder that community matters.
A reminder that progress deserves to be acknowledged, even while there is still work to do.
I think the real celebration this month is remembering that life isn't something that only happens after you've checked every box.
Life is not a reward waiting for you at the finish line. Life is happening while you build it.
It's happening now.
Don't miss it.
The Messenger of Ideas & Connection
Born Late May through mid-June
As long as there is free will, there are options.
The moment we remember that, the world gets a little bigger.
Geminis get a reputation for wanting to be everywhere, but don't confuse that for being careless with their energy. If anything, they're incredibly intentional about who they spend their time with.
They love people, but they love their people even more.
Family matters. Friendship matters. The home front matters.
If you can't create a space where they feel free to be all sides of themselves, you may find yourself on the outside of their tribe. Not because they're mean. Not because they're cold. Simply because Gemini knows the difference between being surrounded by people and being understood.
When their heart is in something, they're some of the most creative people you'll ever meet. Give them an idea and somehow they'll turn it into a conversation, a project, a business, a community, or a memory you'll talk about for years. They're curious by nature, but intentional by choice.
And let's talk about the conversations.
When's the last time you had a three-hour phone call?
I bet there was a Gemini somewhere woven into the mix.
They have a way of making people feel comfortable enough to bare their souls. They'll listen, they'll challenge you, they'll make you laugh, and somehow you'll leave the conversation feeling lighter than when you arrived.
They can't stand fakeness. They can't stand pretending. And they definitely can't stand people shrinking themselves to fit into spaces they were never meant for.
Being around Gemini energy feels vibrant, wholesome, and thought provoking. The energy that reminds you there are always more possibilities than you initially thought.
So here's your reminder, Gemini.
Thank you for being the life of the party.
Thank you for saying things with your chest.
Thank you for reminding us that curiosity is a gift and connection is an art form.
But don't forget to shine some of that light back on yourself. The people who love you want to see you receive your flowers, too.
The world would be a whole lot duller without you.
Overall Energy
Joy without guilt.
This month is about embracing duality. Gemini season reminds us that two things can be true at once.
You can be building something meaningful and enjoying your life at the same time. You can be disciplined without becoming rigid. You can take your goals seriously without taking yourself so seriously.
There is room for both.
June invites you to loosen your grip on the pressure while staying connected to your purpose. This isn't a month that asks you to choose between structure and spontaneity, work and play, movement and rest, curiosity and commitment. It's a reminder that these things can coexist.
The magic of this season lives somewhere in the middle.
Life is not a reward waiting for you at the finish line.
Life is happening while you build it.
Mind & Body
Your mind is asking for stimulation this month.
Read the book. Take the class. Start the conversation. Write the idea down before you convince yourself you'll remember it later.
Curiosity is a form of nourishment, too.
Gemini season has a way of reminding us that inspiration can come from anywhere, so pay attention to what captures your attention. There may be more wisdom in a random conversation, a podcast episode, or a passing thought than you realize.
Your body, on the other hand, is asking for movement that feels enjoyable.
Walk more. Stretch more. Spend time outside. Let the sunshine hit your face. Remember there are still free vitamins out there.
This month isn't about punishment disguised as wellness. It's about supporting yourself in ways that feel sustainable.
Nourishment. Sunlight. Laughter. Connection.
Don't underestimate how healing those things can be.
Journal Prompts
What brings me joy that I’ve been unnecessarily depriving myself of?
Where have I been waiting for permission that I can give myself?
What ideas keep returning to me, and why?
What would become possible if I stopped overcomplicating the next step?
How can I create more play in my daily life?
What am I ready to celebrate instead of critique?
Where in my life have I forgotten that I have options?
As you move through June, I hope you find more reasons to celebrate than reasons to wait.
May you make room for joy without explanation, connection without conditions, and moments that remind you life is happening right now.
See you next month. 🤍
With Love
